S&P revises Southcoast Health System outlook to stable

S&P Global Ratings has revised its rating outlook for New Bedford, Mass.-based Southcoast Health System from negative to stable.

The revision reflects Southcoast’s much stronger income statement in fiscal year 2018 than in fiscal year 2017. This improvement is due to wide-ranging cost reductions and revenue enhancements.

S&P also affirmed Southcoast’s “BBB+” long-term rating.
