S&P revises Pinnacle Health System’s rating to stable

Standard & Poor’s has revised the outlook on Harrisburg, Pa.-based Pinnacle Health System’s debt to positive from stable. In addition, S&P has affirmed its “A” rating on the system’s debt.

The outlook is based on several factors, including PHS’ solid maximum annual debt coverage and solid business position with growing volume.

PHS is currently in the process of merging with Penn State Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, which S&P believes will strengthen PHS’ enterprise and financial profile.
