“The negative outlook reflects our view of MEE’s continued operating losses, by our calculation, and weak coverage of pro forma maximum annual debt service” said S&P analyst Jennifer Soule.
The ratings agency also affirmed the “BBB-” long-term rating on the institution’s series 2010 hospital revenue bonds.
