S&P assigns 'AA-' rating to Parkview Health System Obligated Group

S&P Global Ratings assigned the "AA-" rating to Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health System's series 2017A bonds issued by the Indiana Finance Authority, affecting $115.47 million in debt.

The assignment is a result of several factors, including the health system's healthy unrestricted reserves, operating margins that exceed the median for the "AA-" rating and strategic focus that may maintain its solid market position.

The outlook is stable, reflecting S&P's expectation that Parkview Health System will continue to invest capital to maintain its leading market position.
