The terminations are effective March 31 and April 5. A spokesperson for the health system told Becker’s that 74 of the positions were “time-limited information technology training job functions. The employees in these roles were well aware they would be sunset once the job requirements were fulfilled. The remainder of the positions were due to closure of an urgent care center.”

RWJBarnabas Health is New Jersey’s largest health system, with more than 38,000 employees and 9,000 physicians, according to its website.
