Rising number of Americans stressed about finances

Stress about money is at the highest level since 2015, according to the American Psychological Association's annual "Stress in America" survey.

The "Stress in America" survey was conducted in conjunction with Harris Poll from Feb. 7-14. The survey was supplemented by a late-breaking poll, fielded March 1-3, because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Sixty-five percent of those surveyed said money was a source of stress, compared to 57 percent in February 2021.

Eighty-seven percent said rising prices of everyday items due to inflation is what is driving their stress, according to the survey.

The "Stress in America" survey has been conducted since 2007.
