The Yale New Haven Health Center for Health Care Innovation and Endeavor Health Ventures were among the investors backing a $25 million Series B funding round for Arintra, an AI platform for revenue cycle coding.
The latest round brings Arintra’s total funding to $51 million, according to an Aug. 26 news release from the company.
The Center for Health Care Innovation is the innovation and early-stage investment arm of New Haven, Conn.-based Yale New Haven Health. Endeavor Health Ventures is the dedicated venture fund of Evanston, Ill.-based Endeavor Health, which was also an early adopter of Arintra’s technology and has now backed both its Series A and Series B rounds.
Define Ventures led the round, with additional participation from Peak XV Partners, Y Combinator, Counterpart Ventures, Ten13 and Spider Capital.
Arintra’s platform uses agentic AI to automate medical coding and connect that data across clinical documentation intelligence, denial appeals, payer insights and DRG validation, according to the release. The company says it processes more than $5 billion in annual claim value for health systems representing over $50 billion in combined net patient revenue, including Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health, Rockford, Ill.-based Mercyhealth, Hagerstown, Md.-based Meritus Health and Rochester, N.Y.-based Rochester Regional Health.
The company said it will use the new funding to expand across more health systems, broaden its specialty and clinical coverage, and extend its platform into additional areas of the revenue cycle.
