Revenue cycle management company Savista has acquired ABW Medical, an ambulatory RCM firm serving the non-acute healthcare market.

The deal expands Savista’s reach into ambulatory and non-acute care revenue cycle, according to an Aug. 27 news release. ABW Medical’s client base includes federally qualified health centers, medical groups, managed service organizations and virtual care providers. ABW Medical also holds preferred RCM partner status within the Athenahealth ecosystem.

“ABW Medical brings deep revenue cycle management expertise, a strong client base, and a delivery model that aligns well with how we operate,” said Jan Grimm, CEO of Savista.

Ms. Grimm said the acquisition creates opportunities to serve community and rural health organizations facing financial pressure.

ABW Medical will operate as ABW Medical, a Savista company, according to the release. Savista serves more than 800 clients across 49 states.
