Raintree Systems has acquired Spike Technologies, a developer of agentic AI voice technology, to embed automated voice agents directly into its EHR and practice management platform for rehabilitation and physical therapy organizations.
The acquisition targets some of the most labor-intensive tasks in revenue cycle management, including payer calls, claims follow-up, eligibility checks, prior authorization and patient outreach, according to a July 15 news release.
Raintree said the AI voice agents are “genuinely agentic,” meaning they reason through multi-step tasks and make decisions rather than following a scripted menu, and operate with full clinical, scheduling and financial context because they are native to the EHR rather than a bolted-on third-party tool.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
