Brunswick, Ga.-based Southeast Georgia Health System is transitioning patient statement services to RevSpring in late March as part of an effort to enhance its patient billing system.
The transition introduces expanded digital billing options that allow patients to receive statements by text message and email in addition to traditional mailed paper statements, according to a March 12 news release.
“These enhancements are all about convenience and accessibility,” said Deatrin Sutton, the system’s manager of financial clearance. ““We understand that patients want simple, flexible options for managing their health care expenses. This new system allows us to meet patients where they are — digitally and securely.”
The new system will allow patients to pay bills faster and more securely online, according to the release. Digital notifications will provide timely reminders and streamlined access to billing information. Traditional mailed statements will remain available for those who prefer paper billing.
