Each week, Becker’s is highlighting five revenue cycle leaders to know, recognizing executives who are driving performance, improving patient financial experiences and advancing innovative strategies to strengthen their organizations’ financial health.

Five revenue cycle leaders to know:

Steve Burr. Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Christus Health (Irving, Texas): Mr. Burr joined Christus Health in 2023 to lead revenue cycle operations at the nonprofit system with more than 600 centers — hospitals, clinics and urgent care facilities — in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. He is a strategic and visionary revenue cycle executive focused on building and inspiring a goal-oriented team of subject matter experts to improve efficiencies and performance. His leadership has resulted in year-over-year revenue enhancements, reduction in the cost to collect and positive employee engagement. Prior to joining Christus Health, he served as senior vice president of revenue cycle at Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health.       

Patti Consolver. Vice President of Front End Revenue Cycle at Ascension (St. Louis): Ms. Consolver joined Ascension in 2024 to lead the front end revenue cycle at one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the U.S. She has more than 30 years of revenue cycle experience, including leadership roles at Arlington-based Texas Health Resources and executive leadership at Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care. She is known for her ability to lead large-scale transformation while keeping the patient experience at the center of every decision. She is a past president of the National Association of Hospital Access Managers, an organization aimed at advancing the standards, expertise and influence of patient access professionals nationwide.   

Paula Dearolf. Executive Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations at TeamHealth (Knoxville, Tenn.): Ms. Dearolf leads revenue cycle operations across TeamHealth, a physician-led, hospital-based practice group. With more than 30 years of physician revenue cycle management experience, she is a decisive and business-focused executive who combines deep operational expertise with strategic vision and disciplined governance. At TeamHealth, she has driven modernization of revenue cycle platforms and workflows across a complex ecosystem with multiple systems and vendor integrations. She has led enterprise-level transformation initiatives focused on scaling operations while maintaining financial discipline. She has also advanced automation and workflow optimization to improve productivity and reduce manual effort.

Steve Dendrinos. Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Shared Services and Analytics at Corewell Health (Southfield, Mich.): Mr. Dendrinos leads enterprise functions spanning automation, payer enrollment, education, communications, integrations and vendor strategy. With a focus on digital enablement and performance improvement, he has advanced revenue cycle transformation by driving AI-enabled solutions, operational scalability and greater performance transparency. He emphasizes accountability, cross-functional collaboration and the development of high-performing teams while consistently advancing scalable solutions that improve enterprise revenue cycle performance. 

Gerilynn Sevenikar. Chief Revenue Cycle Officer at Sharp HealthCare (San Diego): Ms. Sevenikar has more than 40 years of revenue cycle experience and has consistently delivered strong financial results, including record cash collections, significant reductions in denials and the recovery of millions in previously constrained revenue through large-scale backlog resolution. Known for challenging the status quo, she brings an innovative, data-driven approach that integrates technology, operational discipline and workforce engagement to elevate performance. She is also known for her ability to build and inspire high-performing teams while driving enterprise-level financial outcomes.
