Five revenue cycle leaders to know:
Krysten Blanchette. Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Care New England (Providence, R.I.). Ms. Blanchette’s career in healthcare began in 2005 as an intern delivering mail and scanning documents. She now leads revenue cycle operations for Rhode Island’s second-largest health system. Krysten has helped build and integrate a system-wide revenue cycle across Care New England’s hospitals and physician practices, improving efficiency and patient experience. Most recently, she played a key leadership role in the system’s Epic implementation, helping ensure a smooth, cash-neutral go-live. Her ability to balance operational excellence with a focus on the patient experience has strengthened both service and financial performance across the system.
Jake Hess. Vice President of Coding, Health Information Management and Clinical Documentation Integrity at Corewell Health (Southfield, Mich.). Mr. Hess leads key components of the revenue cycle across Corewell Health. With nearly 13 years of experience, he has built his career across post-acute, hospital and professional settings. Mr. Hess is known for his well-rounded perspective across the revenue cycle, bringing a broad, cross-functional lens that enables him to connect strategies, break down silos and drive cohesive, system-wide performance. Corewell Health received Healthcare Financial Management Association’s MAP Award for high performance in revenue cycle in 2026 and holds two other MAP awards from previous years.
Shari Johnson. Chief Revenue Cycle Officer at Alameda Health System (Oakland, Calif.). Ms. Johnson was promoted to chief revenue cycle officer in September 2025 after serving as Alameda’s vice president of revenue cycle since 2022. She oversees patient access, ambulatory care patient service representatives, interpreter services, the ambulatory call center, switchboard operators, revenue integrity, clinical appeals, patient financial services, business systems, outside medical services and government enrollment. Since joining the system, Ms. Johnson has led measurable improvements in collection rates, AR days, bad debt reduction, eligibility response times and denial management.
Jeff Mincher. Senior Vice President, Chief Revenue Cycle Officer at Texas Health Resources (Arlington): Mr. Mincher leads a comprehensive portfolio spanning HIM, revenue integrity, payer operations, the patient access intake center and the central business office for the largest nonprofit health system in North Texas. He leverages advanced technologies such as predictive modeling and automation to drive best-in-class performance in key metrics including cash collections, denial resolution and days in accounts receivable. Mr. Mincher stands out for his consumer-centered philosophy, championing policies that protect patients’ financial well-being, such as moving to a single billing office model.
Jennifer Worthy, Executive Vice President, Revenue Cycle Optimization, Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (Phoenix). Ms. Worthy joined HOPCo in January 2025, where she leads enterprise revenue cycle strategy and operational transformation across a national MSK platform. She brings a strong focus on optimizing financial performance, reducing administrative burden and building scalable models that support growth, with an emphasis on people development and automation. She has more than 25 years of healthcare RCM experience, spanning physician enterprise, hospital systems, cosource models and billing partnerships. Her work has focused on advancing revenue cycle from a transactional function to a strategic growth engine by aligning people, process and technology to drive outcomes.
