Five revenue cycle leaders to know
Becky Ault. Senior Vice President of Enterprise Revenue Cycle, Parkview Health (Fort Wayne, Ind.). Ms. Ault was promoted to her current role at Parkview Health in 2023 and has been with the health system since 2010. She previously served as the CFO of Indiana Medical Associates, a multispecialty physician group practice that affiliated with Parkview in 2010. During her tenure at Parkview, she has led several practice conversions to Epic, centralized professional coding and billing functions, implemented revenue cycle best practices, led the adoption of automation and AI tools, and supported the system’s growing provider network.
Lynda Gorken, Vice President of Patient Financial Services, BayCare Health System (Clearwater, Fla.). As VP of patient financial services, Ms. Gorken provides strategic and operational leadership for revenue cycle functions across the system’s hospitals, outpatient centers and physician practices. She has transformed patient financial services into a model of operational excellence by implementing advanced revenue cycle technologies that improved billing accuracy, reduced denials and enhanced the patient experience. She has expanded the system’s financial assistance, billing transparency efforts and has provided steady leadership through periods of significant industry change.
Howard Kung. Vice President of Mid-Revenue Cycle, Stanford Health Care (Palo Alto, Calif.). Mr. Kung joined Stanford Health Care in November and has operational accountability for health information management, hospital and professional coding services, revenue integrity and clinical documentation integrity teams. He also serves as a key liaison with finance and administration, School of Medicine leadership and clinical chairs. Prior to joining Stanford, he served as senior director of revenue integrity for Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.
Fabian A. Stone. Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Mr. Stone has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. At CHOP, he has led initiatives aimed at optimizing the system’s revenue cycle, streamlining operations and enhancing financial outcomes. Under his leadership, CHOP improved billing efficiency by 35% and worked to reduce significant insurance contract payment variances. Mr. Stone also implemented 180 work queues, saving the hospital 19,500 hours in combined enterprise-wide staff labor productivity. Before joining CHOP, he held various leadership positions at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System.
Ashley Teeters. Vice President of Revenue Cycle at TMC Health (Tucson, Ariz.). Ms. Teeters joined TMC Health in 2024 from UChicago Medicine, where she served as executive director of revenue cycle. As vice president of revenue cycle, Ms. Teeters leads TMC Health’s revenue cycle operations across both hospital and physician settings. She has extensive expertise in redesigning strategies to increase revenue, create growth opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction. She takes a data-driven, systematic approach to financial performance, focusing on increasing cash collections, reducing accounts receivable days and improving aged receivables.
