The report came during a conference call meeting with the Health and Economic Livelihood Partnership Oversight Committee, which oversees Montana Medicaid expansion.
Here are four takeaways from the report, as provided to the committee by the state Department of Health and Human Services. All numbers are as of July 15, 2017.
1. Medicaid expansion in Montana, which took effect in January 2016, covers more than 80,800 residents.
2. Since the rollout, Montana has saved $30.4 million in Medicaid benefits.
3. The state has provided $550 million in Medicaid expansion healthcare services.
4. Montana has collected $4.6 million in premiums from Medicaid expansion members.
