RCM firm SimiTree acquires 2 companies

SimiTree has acquired Afia and GreenpointMed to strengthen its position in the behavioral health support market.

Afia is a Michigan-based behavioral health data analytics and consulting firm, according to a Jan. 12 SimiTree news release. Florida-based GreenpointMed is a medical billing credential service provider to healthcare practices. 

SimiTree provides tech-enabled revenue cycle management, coding, professional services and talent management services for post-acute and behavioral health organizations, according to the release. 

Specialist investment bank Greenberg Advisors served as the adviser for both transactions, according to the release.
