The hospital system’s 2011 operating revenue represent a 10 percent increase from its 2010 operating revenue, which totaled just more than $954 million in operating revenue. The increase was attributed to increased revenue to slightly higher inpatient volumes, sustained revenues from its cancer hospital and higher inpatient and outpatient rates, according to the report.
The health system also finished fiscal year 2011 with total operating expenses of a little more than $950 million, up from last year’s $887.6 million. Operating income was $97.6 million, up from $66.5 million in 2010.
