Carolyn Scanlan, president and CEO of HAP, said in the release that unless Pennsylvania lawmakers restore $75 million in 2009-2010 healthcare budget cuts, hospitals will continue to cut services and staff.

Ms. Scanlan said that the added burden placed on hospitals in a struggling economy could ultimately leave patients with fewer healthcare choices, according to the release.
