The hospital did not specify which positions would be affected, but the layoffs would not affect areas of patient quality or safety, nor are future layoffs expected, according to the report.
MCDH said the layoffs will save $1.5 million. In first six months of its 2013 fiscal year, the hospital lost $1.9 million.
MCDH filed for bankruptcy in October amidst its poor financial outlook. At the time, the hospital had less than three days cash on hand.
