Partners HealthCare Agrees to Pay $2.7M in Back Wages

Boston-based Partners HealthCare has agreed to pay $2.7 million to resolve a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Labor, alleging that more than 700 employees of the health system were not paid overtime as required by law, according to a report by the Boston Globe.

Partners allegedly failed to pay overtime to employees who worked more than 40 hours per week at more than one hospital within the system. According to the report, Partners contacted federal officials after realizing the error.
