The seven-hospital system reported operating income of $155.8 million in 2021. Revenue was up almost 6 percent on 2021, totaling $2.7 billion.
The overall loss for the system was $112.5 million versus net income of $340.5 million in 2021 as investment values slumped by almost $250 million.
Parkview Health, whose former CEO, Mike Packnett, retired at the end of 2022, operates a flagship tertiary care center, Parkview Regional Medical Center. It also runs six community hospitals in Northeast Indiana.
The system has a joint venture with a local orthopedic physician group to operate a for-profit orthopedic hospital.
