Out-of-Pocket Spending Caps Higher for Some Plans Next Year

Health plans that use multiple third-party administrators don’t have to add up all parties’ out-of-pocket spending caps until 2015, meaning the caps for typical individuals and families could exceed the $6,350 and $12,700 respective out-of-pocket ceilings, according to the report. The delay leaves consumers particularly vulnerable for prescription drug expenses on many plans, according to the report.
