Optum360 takes top honor for computer-assisted coding

KLAS, a global healthcare research organization, has chosen Optum360 as a 2015-2016 category leader for computer-assisted coding.

Each year KLAS, which independently monitors healthcare technology vendor performance, ranks organizations in several categories to receive an award for excellence in performance. This is the second consecutive year Optum360 has won the category leader award for computer-assisted coding.

According to a news release, hospitals using Optum360's computer-assisted coding platform, Optum Enterprise CAC, have seen strong performance on traditional measures and smooth transitions to the new ICD-10 medical coding system.

"We are honored that KLAS recognizes our Enterprise Computer-Assisted Coding platform as setting the industry standard," Ron Jones, CEO of Optum360, said in a prepared statement. "This recognition reflects our clients' confidence as we help them modernize, serve patients and improve efficiency."
