Oklahoma pediatric hospital plans $30 million expansion

The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital, based in Bethany, Okla., plans to build a $30 million expansion to add 40 beds and triple its education and training space, according to KFOR-TV.

The nonprofit hospital is funding the expansion with a campaign called "Imagine the Miracles."

The four-story addition, which will add more than 100,000 square feet to the hospital, will make the Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital the most innovative rehab center in the region, according to the report.

The 40 new patient beds will be housed on two new floors, each with an eight-bed intensive care unit. The other 24 beds will be placed in private rooms for children and their families.

Construction will begin next summer and the new facility is slated to open fall 2016.
