The request for funding was made by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Oklahoma State Department of Health, and Oklahoma City-based OU Health.

The funding will be used to rebuild a mental health facility, add psychiatric beds to current facilities and improve electronic health record sharing.

The Oklahoma Legislature will vote on the funding in the fall.
