Advanced Specialty Hospitals of Toledo (Ohio) has shared plans to close May 1, affecting all 116 employees, according to its website and a WARN notice filed with the state.
Gary Zaciewski, RN, CEO of the facility, said in the WARN notice that the closure was part of a “recent transaction.”
Employees will receive wages through June 8. Among the affected roles are a director of nursing, 45 registered nurses, a therapy manager, four pharmacy technicians, a human resources manager, a physical therapist and four speech language pathologists.
“This decision was not made lightly, and we recognize the impact it may have on our patients, families and community,” the hospital’s website said. “We are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us and for the opportunity to care for you and/or your loved ones. Serving this community has been a privilege, and we remain committed to supporting you during this transition.”
Advanced Specialty Hospitals comprises 40 private rooms with medical specialties including internal medicine, infectious disease, pulmonology, nephrology and wound care, according to its website.
