Miami Valley President and CEO Mark Shaker told the Dayton Daily News that the hospital has already submitted a comprehensive action plan and taken steps to address issues regarding “bedside equipment” that triggered the termination notice. If the plan is accepted and verified by CMS before the termination date, the hospital will not lose its funding.
“Because of the work we’ve done in addressing the concerns that (CMS) had, we do not believe there will be any interruption in service,” Mr. Shaker told the Dayton Daily News. The hospital’s leader declined to provide any additional details about the complaint from CMS.
