New York City-based NYU Langone Health recorded an operating income of $164.8 million (3.9% operating margin) in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, compared to an operating income of $150.9 million (4% margin) during the same period last year, according to its Jan. 27 financial report.
Three things to know:
1. NYU Langone reported operating revenue of $4.2 billion for the three months ended Nov. 30, a 12.1% increase year over year. Net patient service revenue was $3.3 billion, a 17.3% increase.
2. Total operating expenses were $4 billion, a 12.2% increase year over year. Salaries, wages and benefits totaled $2.5 billion, a 12.9% increase. Supplies and other expenses totaled $1.3 billion, a 10.7% increase year over year.
3. The system reported a net income of $316.4 million in the quarter, up from $228.5 million during the same period last year.
