Overall, 155 hospitals surveyed in the report had a combined net income of $941.7 million in 2022. Between fiscal years 1993 and 2022, net patient revenue increased from $5.2 billion to $26.8 billion while net income went from $241.7 million to $941.7 million.
Of the 18 largest health systems in the state, operating 107 of those hospitals, the operating margin was -0.1% in 2022 with a net operating loss of $46.5 million.
