The new learning center in the teaching hospital will feature a health science library, simulation facilities and a space for learning to provide the next generation of healthcare clinicians with proper training.

“This project will modernize our teaching and learning facilities to keep pace with new technology and clinical advancements. It will also enable us to combine the latest in life-saving technologies with the medical expertise and personalized care the community has come to rely upon,” John M. Murphy, MD, president and CEO of Danbury-based Western Connecticut Health Network, which includes Norwalk Hospital, said.

The McGraw family founded the global publishing company McGraw-Hill and has a legacy of investing in community health initiatives.
