Calling it a “challenging time in the healthcare industry,” Mr. Barrett said the system is working to support the affected employees, helping some transition to other open positions at the health system or offering eligible employees separation packages.
Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 495-bed academic teaching facility and medical center. It has 1,880 employees, including 468 physicians, according to its website.
