The $5 million gift will fund an indoor play area for children, which will be named the Jerry and Anita Zucker Family Atrium in honor of the donors.
So far the children’s hospital has raised $116 million to fund the new facility.
“The entire project has been a community effort… and continues to be,” said MUSC President David Cole, MD.
The new facility is expected to be complete in 2019.
