Moody’s revises Washington Hospital’s outlook to negative

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed its “Baa2” rating for Washington (Pa.) Hospital, affecting $31.4 million of outstanding debt.

The rating reflects Moody’s expectation that the hospital’s top line revenue growth will continue to decline, while any credit strengths are challenged by the hospital’s relatively small operating revenue base in a challenging service area.

The rating outlook has been revised from stable to negative.
