Moody’s downgrades Major Health Partners’ rating to ‘Baa3’

Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the rating for Shelbyville, Ind.-based Major Health Partners from “Baa2” to “Baa3.”

The downgrade is due to the hospital’s unanticipated additional debt that will increase its leverage. Significant capital plans, including installation of a new EHR and construction of a wellness center, could be disruptive for operations.

The rating outlook remains stable.
