Moody’s assigns ‘Baa2’ rating to King’s Daughters Medical Center’s bonds

Moody’s Investors Service has assigned a “Baa2” rating to Ashland, Ky.-based King’s Daughters Medical Center’s proposed $75.3 million of series 2016A bonds.

The rating affirmation acknowledges KDMC’s favorable market position, relative size and scope of operations and solid liquidity position.

The outlook is negative, reflecting KDMC’s lack of a longer track record of sustainable improvement.

Moody’s also affirmed the “Baa2” rating on KDMC’s outstanding debt, affecting $235 million of bonds.
