Moody's assigns 'Aa2' rating to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics' bonds

Moody's Investors Services has assigned an "Aa2" rating to Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics' proposed $23.9 million of series S.U.I. 2016A bonds.

The rating assignment is based on several factors, including UIHC's broad market reach for high-end services, strong local market share and track record of profitability.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody's Investors Service's expectation that UIHC will sustain at least adequate operating margins, which will lead to continued good debt coverage.
