Moody’s assigns ‘A3’ rating to Seminole Hospital District’s bonds

Moody’s Investors Service has assigned an “A3” rating to Seminole (Texas) Hospital District’s $13.075 million of series 2016 general obligation refunding bonds.

The District operates Memorial Hospital and Memorial Health Care Center, both in Seminole.

The rating assignment is based on a number of factors, including the District’s trend of narrowing liquidity.

The outlook is negative, reflecting Moody’s Investors Service’s expectation that financial stress could pressure the rating.
