Moody’s affirms University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics Authority’s ‘Aa3’ rating

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed the “Aa3” rating on Madison-based University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics’ $294 million of rated debt.

The rating affirmation is based on a number of factors, including UWHC’s position as a major academic medical center, strong balance sheet resources and relationship with the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The outlook is stable, reflecting UWHC’s established clinical and academic market positions.
