Moody’s affirms Pikeville Medical Center’s ‘A3’ rating

Moody’s Investors Service has affirmed the “A3” rating on Pikeville (Ky.) Medical Center’s outstanding debt, affecting $81.7 million.

Moody’s also assigned an “MIG 1” rating to PMC’s series 2016 bond anticipation notes and affirmed the “MIG 1” rating on PMC’s series 2015 bond anticipation notes.

The “A3” rating affirmation is based on several factors, including PMC’s leading market position, strong physician recruitment and affiliation with Mayo Clinic.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody’s expectations that PMC will continue improving financial results in fiscal year 2016 and fiscal year 2017.
