Moody's affirms Children's Hospital Colorado's 'A1' rating

Moody's Investors Service has affirmed Aurora, Colo.-based Children's Hospital Colorado's "A1" revenue bond rating, affecting $250 million of debt.

The rating affirmation is based on a number of factors, including CHCO's strong operating performance and successful expansion in the Denver metropolitan area.

The hospital also faces numerous challenges, including ongoing competition in Denver and an expected $125 to $150 million increase in debt over the next three years.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody's expectation that CHCO's strong operations and improved balance sheet will be sufficient to absorb its anticipated additional debt.
