Moody's affirms 'A2' rating on WakeMed

Moody's Investors Service affirmed its "A2" long-term rating on Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed, affecting about $390 million of debt.

The affirmation is a result of several factors, including the health system's favorable service area, growing cash flow margins and consistent operating performance.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody's expectation that the health system's cash flow will remain strong as WakeMed invests in facilities and services to stay competitive.
