Moody’s affirms ‘A2’ rating on Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed the “A2” rating on Findlay, Ohio-based Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center’s series 2011A bonds.

The affirmation is a result of several factors, including the system’s solid operating performance, strong market position, healthy balance sheet metrics and favorable service area. Moody’s also acknowledged the system’s high operating leverage, well-known competitors in nearby areas and small size.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody’s expectation that Blanchard will maintain its strong operating performance and favorable balance sheet metrics.

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center operates two hospitals: 150-bed Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay and 25-bed Bluffton (Ohio) Hospital.
