Quorum’s work with the hospital thus far has involved various initiatives. These include examining reimbursements and doing a debt-capacity study for a proposed hospital expansion, which is estimated to cost more than $30 million, according to the report. The $30 million estimate is up from a previous estimate of $19 million,

Overall, Quorum has identified $42,000 in savings since being hired by the hospital, according to the report, and Bill Donatelli, vice president for Western operations at Quorum, recently told River’s Edge Quorum could continue to help the hospital save “through the firm’s work on compliance for billing and reimbursement, supply chain and other support,” the report states. He also floated the idea of the hospital using Quorum’s purchasing group to save money on equipment and supplies.

According to the report, the hospital will spend $119,500 to extend the contract for a year.
