Every year, the Niagara Health Quality Coalition gathers data to create the annual New York State Hospital Report Card, which outlines hospitals’ performance in infection rates, readmissions rate, mortality rates and more.
This year, the coalition did not receive $250,000 in state funding, which is approximately half of the group’s yearly budget. The coalition also has yet to receive funding from last year’s state budget, calling into question how the group will finance its research for the report card.
