MGMA adds dedicated population health consultant

Pam Ballou-Nelson will join Medical Group Management Association’s Health Care Consulting Group as a senior consultant, in a move to strengthen the group’s population health management arm.

Ms. Ballou-Nelson has more than 30 years experience in both consulting and administrative roles in the healthcare industry. Prior to MGMA, Ms. Ballou-Nelson served as a process improvement consultant for both physician practices and hospital systems at Encore, where she primarily focused on accountable care organizations and population health practices.

“MGMA has a 40-year history of providing consulting services to medical practices and organizations across the country,” said Andrew Swanson, vice president of MGMA Health Care Consulting Group. “Pam’s unmatched experience in medical home initiatives, population health management, clinically integrated networks, and accountable care organizations blends seamlessly into our work.”
