Janesville, Wis.-based Mercy Health System and Rockford (Ill.) Health System merged in January 2015 to create MercyRockford Health System. The organization has chosen Premier specifically to support its integration strategy through technology-enabled supply chain and performance improvement data management services.

“With Premier we see a value-driven and collaborative partnership that goes beyond purchasing, and is strategically aligned with our integration plan,” said MercyRockford President and CEO Javon Bea. “We look forward to forming an advanced, clinically integrated supply chain that extends across all of our healthcare sites.”

MercyRockford Health System oversees operations at five hospitals and 80 outpatient clinics in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, in addition to owning a health insurance company.
