In the third quarter of 2010, Aetna’s net revenue was $8.5 billion while its net income was $497.6 million.
From the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2011, Aetna’s total revenue was $25.2 billion, down from $25.7 billion in the same nine-month period last year. Aetna’s net income for the first nine months of 2011 was $1.61 billion, up nearly 4 percent from the $1.55 billion in net income recorded for the first nine months of 2010.
