Medicare’s plan finder website currently allows users to preview 2020 drug and Medicare Advantage plans and enroll in 2020 plans beginning Oct. 15.
However, due to a redesign, search results lack complete information about the user’s out-of-pocket liability or what coverage offers the best value, KHN reported.
For example, a search may not include a plan’s preferred pharmacy that offers lower medication prices.
Medicare officials said they expect the website’s total cost calculator to be fixed when the 2020 sign-up period begins, according to KHN.
