Below are three things to know.
1. MAP is the management services organization of Denver-based Diversified Radiology of Colorado, a 55-physician radiologist practice.
2. DRC has managed billing and revenue cycle processes in-house for several decades. Under the new arrangement, MAP will make use of Zotec’s RCM expertise, revenue cycle services and analytical tools to monitor billing data.
3. MAP CEO Kip McMillan cited cost and revenue cycle effectiveness as main drivers of the decision to outsource RCM services. Working with Zotec will also give DRC access to new data and metrics through Zotec’s analytics tools, with the aim to improve the clinic’s relationships with hospitals and patients.
