In states that haven’t expanded Medicaid, enrollment in the two programs was up 6 percent compared to the baseline period, and in expansion states enrollment increased 23 percent, according to the report.
The 50 states, and Washington D.C.,that provided enrollment data for September 2014 reported nearly 68 million people were enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP, with 340,159 additional people enrolled in the programs in September as compared to August.
