Athol (Mass.) Hospital is suspending its endoscopy procedures after a routine equipment inspection found issues in the hospital’s ventilation system, the Greenfield Recorder reported April 24.
The ventilation problems have been addressed before but not fully resolved. Clinicians affected by the suspension of services will have the opportunity to work elsewhere in the health system.
The hospital did not provide a date for when services will resume.
